2018 brings EOSC goodies, like ARCTIC ENTRIES! In the spirit of This American Life, The Moth, and other storytelling events, Arctic Entries will bring 7 Campers to the stage to share their personal stories: funny, sad and sweet.
Special guest, Governor Bill Walker and three community stalwarts, will accompany us for a Fireside Chat on the future of innovation. Following the chat, Campers will join industry leaders in a series of "Loud Tables" to discuss steps for adapting to change. This isn't politics, it's a guaranteed way to engage in challenging thought leadership and community collaboration.
Everyday is a journey to with sunrise yoga session, gourmet meals fit for rockstars and presidents by Delicious Dave, winding down with music by the bonfire, and enjoying live performances by creative artists and story tellers. Be sure to join us Friday night for Whiskey & War stories, where community trailblazers recount days of Alaskan lore and the bumps to glory along the way.

WHAT IS DESIGN THINKING AND HOW IT LEADS TO BETTER DESIGN
Elina Zheleva is a design thinking coach and consultant trained at the two leading institutions - the HPI School of Design Thinking in Potsdam and Stanford University d.school. She holds an Executive MBA from SKEMA Business School - the biggest French University - and has more than 10 years of work experience in strategic management, finance and business development, before converting fully to design thinking in 2013.She is the founder of DesignThinking.bg - a boutique design thinking agency operating out of Europe and a founding partner at ReFacilitate - a global network of design thinking facilitators. She travels the world with her mission to help organizations transform into more customer-centred and innovative workplaces.
Aerial Yoga was discovered when a yoga instructor and aerial acrobat became curious about how the aerial silks could assist with yoga practice. With some modifications to the aerial silks, including hanging it like a hammock to assist and challenge our yoga practice. Everything in this class relates to yoga. We focus on breath, alignment, flow, and mindfulness.
SKETCHING & VISUAL FACILITATION
Maria Staynova is an Architect with racy professional experience from Spain, The Netherlands and Bulgaria. Interior designs, public buildings, urban planning... it's the difference in scale in architecture projects that gets her inspired. She has applied design thinking to redesigning schools, hospitals and corporate offices into more human-centred and creative spaces. She is currently part of the European project DICE where she and her team are developing a visual thinking module for bringing innovation and creativity in the classroom.

A writer entrepreneur from Columbus, Ohio currently focused on leading Unreal Collective and cohosting the Upside podcast. He fell in love with building products through his first software startup, Tixers, a digital ticket exchange. In 2016, he worked as a product head with CrossChx, a venture-backed healthcare startup in Columbus, Ohio. Jay managed several hardware and software products and helped to launch two completely new products in the healthcare space.
DESIGN THINKING FOR SOCIAL IMPACT
Mark Etem is a Founding Partner of Refacilitate, which curates a network of innovation experts and connects them with relevant corporate initiatives, and a Senior Design Thinking Coach for Designthinking.bg, a leading innovation and customer experience agency. Previously, he served as the Director of Operations for Impact Hub Boulder and Program Director for CatalyzeCU, the University of Colorado’s startup accelerator. Mark is passionate about principle-based entrepreneurship, innovation methodologies, and personal development.

Ticket price includes three full days of workshops, gourmet food, and activities beginning Friday morning with sessions focused on Design Thinking, technology, marketing, leadership/organizational development, wellness and building the future of Alaska. Saturday and Sunday bring more workshops and activities with a broad vision to entertain and fulfill creatives, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and everyone in between.

Don't have all weekend to spend? Start strong with a focused Friday. Session options will include Design Thinking, marketing, leadership/organizational development, building the future of Alaska, and leadership development. Whiskey and War Stories included, as well as the Fireside Chat with the governor. Saturday offers more campy fun, business development workshops, and wellness activities. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday & Saturday as well as all activities / workshops included.

Can't take off Friday but still want to experience EOSC? Saturday and Sunday offer a menu of wellness, personal development, and plain old campy fun. Get to know your fellow campers over a gourmet meal, fitness class, entrepreneurship workshop, and catch a coveted Arctic Entries show!.
The new location, The Cannery Lodge, is a former 100-year-old Libby, McNeill and Libby cannery at the mouth of the Kenai River that has been transformed to a premium lodge. A selection of rooms with full accommodations are available in addition to admission, alternatively you can BYO tent / RV camping.
All meals and snacks are healthy, delicious and prepared by local chef "Delicious Dave". Dave worked as a personal chef for Neil Young for past three years. His most inspiring cooking job was as head chef for the Jack Johnson tour, where he was instructed to only purchase from local farmers markets at each tour stop. Dave's most recent claim to fame was cooking for President Obama on his 2015 visit to Alaska. Campers can expect delicious and well-prepared meals and snacks meeting all individual dietary preferences.
