The 2018 End of Summer Camp is a 3-day retreat in an intimate environment for Alaska’s innovators, pioneers, and future leaders (that's you, right?). It is a fun-filled, unpretentious retreat focused on expert-level workshops, building and strengthening relationships across industries, exploring new activities, and weaving together the fabric for a stronger and more resilient future for the State of Alaska.
You'll leave camp inspired, with a head full of creative ideas to take back to both your work and your personal life.
Inspired by Tools of Titans by Tim Ferris, this year's focused tracks are Health, Wealthy, & Wise. EOSC has 5 whole years of experience, and so do our Campers. We have been working hard to cultivate a list of expert workshop presenters and keynotes to heighten Campers' experience beyond years past. Don't get us wrong, THERE IS PLENTY OF CAMPY FUN TO BE HAD! We're just sprinkling in some added benefits that will have your accountant unquestionably agreeing with this business expense.
2018 brings special guest, Governor Bill Walker! Joined by 3 community stalwarts, the Governor will lead a Fireside Chat with Campers on the future of innovation in each of the three tracks. Following the Fireside Chat, Campers will join a series of "Loud Tables" to discuss and enact change with industry leaders. Even if politics aren't your thing, this is a guaranteed way to participate in high-quality thought leadership and community collaboration.
We are bringing back some EOSC goodies, like ARCTIC ENTRIES! In the spirit of This American Life, The Moth, and other storytelling events, Arctic Entries will bring 7 Campers to the stage to share their personal stories: funny, sad and sweet.
Don't worry, you can still join your fellow campers for a sunrise yoga session, gourmet meals fit for rockstars and presidents, winding down with music by the bonfire, and enjoying live performances by creative artists and story tellers. Make sure to come Friday night for Whiskey and War stories, where community trailblazers will recount days of Alaskan lore and all the bumps and glory along the way.
The new location itself, The Kenai Cannery Lodge, is the perfect example of Alaska’s brilliance: transforming the 100-year-old Libby, McNeill and Libby cannery at the mouth of the Kenai River into the unique, premium lodge it is today. Options include BYO tent / RV camping or a selection of rooms in the well appointed lodge. And hot water, yesssssssssss!
